VIA DOLOROSA is a multimedia installation which consists of a journey back in time through the history of Jerusalem, from Jesus' times to our days.
The project is very innovative for the Holy City: it has a duration of 15 minutes and is divided into 3 stages which combine archaeological fragments, multimedia technology (a huge map of Jerusalem will be used as a screen to show time travel), and a spiritual moment at the end of the show, which resumes the beads of ancient pilgrims in the Holy Land.
The show is in 8 languages (English, Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew) to meet the needs of local and international audiences.
TERRA SANCTA MUSEUM - VIA DOLOROSA is part of a broader project initiated by the Franciscan Friars of the Custody of the Holy Land. Its goal is to create in Jerusalem a unique museum on the roots of Christianity and the preservation of the Holy Places.
