Itinerary:

Our Guide will pick you up from your Hotel in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem and drive you to the southern end of the Sea of Galilee. From here we start a scenic ascent along the impressive Canyon of the Yarmouk River and the Border to Jordan. Now it is clear why this region is called The Golan "Heights". At the Peace Vista Outlook we can enjoy the wide view over the Sea of Galilee and understand some of the geographical and political aspects of the Golan Heights. We continue to the Gamla National Park to hear about the dramatic events that took place here during the first revolt of the Jews against the Romans, events that made Gamla the "Masada of the Golan". Further to the north we visit ancient Katzrin, a well-preserved Jewish town from the Talmudic Era, where we can go back in time and experience life in the Golan in the late Roman Period. We end the day driving up to the top of Mt. Bental. This non-active volcano is known for its wide view far into Galilee and over the Syrian Border close by. This is an excellent opportunity to explain the current situation in the area and summarize this exciting day...!
