We set out from the port of Eilat (or Aqaba), and drive along the Arava Valley towards the Dead Sea. We drive through the wild area of Sodom (yes, THAT Sodom!!!) and after a short stop by the Salt Pillar that is said to be Lot's Wife, we arrive at the bottom of the cliff of Massada. Here, on top of this steep cliff, overlooking the Dead Sea, King Herod the Great built a magnificent fortress in the middle of the desert. This fortress became the last refuge for some Jewish rebels, who fought here a heroic war against the Romans – a war that made Massada to a national symbol for the modern State of Israel. We climb the mountain with cable-car, visit its archaeological remains, and hear about its past. Then we return to the bus, and head for one of the beaches of the Dead Sea, where we have the opportunity to float (not swim!) in its unique waters, that contain an unusual amount of healthy minerals. We return to Eilat via the Arava Road.

 

1-Day Timna Park, Solomon's Pillars & visit in a Kibbutz (A City Tour of Eilat)

Our licensed Tour-Guide with car will await you at the Port of Eilat and drive you across the Arava Valley to the Timna Park. The Timna valley is a unique combination of colorful sandstone-formations with the amazing excavations of the most ancient copper-mines in the world! Together we explore the mystical sites with the bizarre names such as "The Arches", "The Mushroom", "Sphinx" and the most famous of all – the structure called "Solomon's Pillars"! The courageous among you can even crawl through mining-tunnels that are more than 5000 years old! We will see the ancient smelting-ovens and experience the copper industry in ancient times. At the Timna-Lake you can relax with a cup of Bedouin Tea and test your artistic skills by filling your own bottle with colorful sand.

A short drive brings us to Kibbutz Yotvata, one of the few Kibbutzim that maintained the Kibbutz way-of-life. Here we will meet a genuine "Kibbutznik" that will tell us all we want to know about life in the Kibbutz. He will show us the Kibbutz, including a tour through its state-of-the-art modern agriculture that made this barren desert bloom… Return to Eilat's port - back to your cruise... Petra Shore Excursion from the port of Eilat or Aqaba

Travel with us from Eilat / Aqaba to Petra... Pick-up from your Cruise Ship (the port of Eilat or from Aqaba's port)  and transfer to the Arava Border Crossing with our assist (Rabin border terminal). After ending all border-formalities we drive up to the Jordanian "Desert Highway" and then to the "Rose Red City" - Petra. We enter the ancient city through the famous "Siq" - a narrow natural gorge that made the secret entrance to Petra. At once the valley of Petra opens in front of us, and we see the famous "Khazane" ("Treasury"). We visit the most famous monuments, carved in the red Sandstone and eat lunch (included) nearby, before we go back to our bus. After a short city-tour in Aqaba we reach the Arava Border and return to Eilat or Aqaba - back to your Cruise - Ship . End of the trip...

Eilat Fun Day - The Highlights of Eilat - Shore Excursion

This tour is meant for all those who need a Day of Leisure, but still want to enjoy the special attractions Eilat has to offer…          A short drive from the port brings us to the colorful world of the Underwater-Observatory Marine Park of Eilat, where you can go under water and enjoy the amazing Eilat Coral Riff without getting wet! On the shore you can watch the variety of fish and corals that range from tiny fish that glimmer in the dark till giant sting-rays and sharks!

Now we visit the "Dolphin Reef", a unique project where you can have a close encounter with free-living dolphins – the most intelligent animal in the world!
