7-Day 6 night Israel special Nature Tour

Thursday, Day 1:

Arrive at the Ben-Gurion Airport by Tel Aviv, where your Guide will meet you. Transfer to your Hotel. Dinner and Introduction to your tour by your guide.

O/N in or by Tel-Aviv.

Friday, Day 2:

We shall start the tour with a stroll through the old city of Jaffa, one of the ancient gateways to the Holy Land: Through it's port the Cedar trees for Salomon's Temple were brought, the prophet Jonas tried to flee God, but most important: It was in Jaffa where Christianity began to be spread among the nations. Here St. Peter lived in the house of Simon the Tanner and had the "Vision of the Flesh", and here he made his first miracle by healing the little girl. Today Jaffa's renovated alley-ways attract many artists, who have their galleries there. From here we drive to Beth Guvrin, where we can crawl through a variety of man-made caves, cut for different purposes by the ancient dwellers of the city Maresha. We will try to arrive early in Tel Aviv, in order to be able to enjoy the pulsating night-life of "The City that never stops…" O/N in Tel Aviv.

Saturday, day 3:

Today we ascend to The Holy City – Jerusalem! We start with an introduction to the city from the top of The Mount of Olives, and then walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane. We also visit the "Wailing Wall", the last remnants of the Temple in Jerusalem. If the current situation allows it, we will try to visit the Temple Mount as well. We continue in the footsteps of Jesus along the Stations of the Via Dolorosa, Jesus' "Way of Suffering", and unto the Church of the Holy Sepulcure, where Jesus was crucified and buried. The Via Dolorosa also passes through the Old City's oriental "Suq" (Bazaar). At the end of the day we stroll through the picturesque village Ein Karem, the place where traditionally John the Baptist was born. O/N in Jerusalem.

Sunday, Day 4:

This day is dedicated to the New City of Jerusalem:  First we visit "Yad Vashem", the holocaust memorial, and then the famous "Menorah" (Candelabra) situated outside the "Knesset", Israel's parliament. At the Israel museum we will see the 1:50 Model of the City of Jerusalem, as it was during the time of the second Temple (the time of Jesus). The model is made from the original materials, and is constantly amended, according to the most recent archaeological findings. We will also visit the specially-designed "Shrine of the Book" housing the original "Dead Sea Scrolls". The afternoon is intended to be at leisure. O/N in Jerusalem.

Monday, Day 5:

We drive down to Wadi Qelt in the Judean desert, where we will hike to the Oasis Ein Qelt and the St. George Monastery, built hanging on a cliff over the deep Canyon of Wadi Qelt. In the afternoon we will have the opportunity to float on the mineral-rich Dead Sea, famous for its healing qualities. O/N by the Dead Sea.

Tuesday, day 6:

We walk through the Oasis of Ein Gedi, known since the days of King David. Ein Gedi, where four springs with fresh water meet the desert sun, is a place to enjoy the rich and unique flora and fauna that such an oasis can offer. We walk to the waterfall and back to the bus. We climb the famous cliff-fortress of Masada, where Herod the Great built a magnificent palace in the middle of the desert. Masada was then used as a fortress by the Jewish "Zealots" who fought, few against many, against the pagan Roman Empire. Their heroic struggle became a symbol for the modern State of Israel. After descending Masada on the original Roman Ramp, our bus will take us to a "Bedouin Experience" at Kefar Hanokdim. There we will ride on camels, and celebrate the end of the tour with a traditional Bedouin "Hafla" Dinner, including the experience of the ancient tradition of the Bedouin Hospitality. Then we will sit by the campfire under the stars, until… until…  O/N Kefar Hanokdim.

Wednesday, Day 7:

Transfer to the Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv for your flight back home.
